Australia 2007

Bob and Ina are getting ready to go!! Just a bit of background about our trip to Australia and points in the South Pacific.

We started saving for this trip about 15 years ago. It is a place I had always wanted to visit. Ina and I talked about it a number of times over the years and watched documentaries and read articles whenever opportunities came up. We always said we would go when we were both retired and while we are still healthy. This is the year. We started looking at maps and brochures last fall and booked our initial flights through a fellow Lion early this year. We then found a recommended travel agent through the Tourism Australia website, who is located in Vancouver. Jason Stratford is from Australia and has been wonderful to work with in planning this trip. So....we are now ready!

We leave Vancouver for Singapore on September 17 and will be returning on November 30. Our basic plans are to spend 3 days in Singapore, then to Australia, including a week in Tazmania, until November 4. We will then go to New Zealand for two weeks, before spending a week in Fiji to re-charge. Then off to Hong Kong for 3 days and home via an overnight in San Franscisco.
